Policy and Commitment
Csun is committed to supporting the government’s 2050 net-zero emissions target and actively promotes energy and greenhouse gas management measures, including replacing energy-efficient lighting and installing solar power generation equipment to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency. From 2022 to 2023, Csun completed a greenhouse gas inventory in accordance with ISO14064-1 standards and plans to obtain third-party verification in 2024 to improve data quality.

Energy Usage Overview
Csun’s main sources of energy are purchased electricity and gasoline/diesel. In 2023, total energy consumption was 14,286.17 gigajoules (GJ), of which purchased electricity accounted for 65.38%, while gasoline and diesel accounted for 34.62%. To reduce energy consumption, Csun developed energy-saving technologies and installed solar equipment at the Taichung plant, generating 354,400 kWh of electricity in 2023.

Greenhouse Gas Management
Since 2022, Csun has conducted an annual greenhouse gas inventory following ISO14064 standards. In 2023, total greenhouse gas emissions amounted to 2,194.99 metric tons of CO2e. The main sources of emissions include Scope 1 from mobile combustion sources (company vehicles) and Scope 2 from electricity use (lighting and equipment in the factory). Emissions from both Scope 1 and Scope 2 were reduced by 4.65% compared to 2022.

Energy-Saving and Carbon Reduction Measures
Csun replaced office and factory lighting systems with energy-efficient lighting, reducing energy consumption by 24.36 GJ in 2023, equivalent to a reduction of 3.34 metric tons of CO2e emissions. Additionally, Csun is dedicated to developing energy-saving products, such as energy-efficient ovens, helping customers save electricity and reduce carbon emissions annually through technology upgrades.
